Nielson side Family Photos

Today we went over to my cousin Amanda's house and she took our family photos for us! Amanda is so GREAT! She not only takes photos but she makes holiday cards as well!!! Check out her website www.amandaandersondesign.blogspot.com ! My card is already made...but I have to send it in the mail! Once it is out I will post it on the blog, but until then...it's not fair! I love the holidays! Well, check out some of the pics Amanda took...

Thanksgiving

Here are the girls in their matching pjs that Grammie bought for themSo for Thanksgiving this year, instead of going to Arizona, we went to Spencer's Aunts vacation home in Park City. It is a four bedroom house and it served quite well for my family to stay at over the weekend. Since Lyla was due around this holiday we didn't go to AZ like we would normally have done so my family...mom, dad, AJ, Nikki, Mayli, Tori, Trent, Natalie, Chad, Carson, Spence, Abby, Lyla, and I all stayed together! It was quite a treat. We had a lot of fun and the girls really enjoyed the close proximity to the outlet malls for Black Friday shopping! We got lots of goodies!! I am so greatful for my family and the oppertunity that I have to see them often. It is one thing I will definately miss once everyone gets jobs and moves away. Right now I savor it and am so grateful that Abby and Lyla get to see their cousins and build relationships with them!

Zoo Day!

Abby insisted on holding hands with "May May" and Sophie. So cute!
Wednesday during the winter is a free day at the Zoo! So we all went and took the kiddos while it is still somewhat warm. AJ, Nikki, Mayli, Tori, Natalie, Carson, Amanda, Sophie, Laynie, Spencer, Abby, Lyla, and I had such a great time! It was a little cold but we bundled up and survived! What a sweet deal! The kids sure do enjoy spending time together!

LYLA BELLE KEDDINGTON!

Well everyone Lyla was born on 11/13/08 at 11:02 pm. She weighed in at a whopping 5 lbs 14.5 oz. She is 20 inches long! What a cutie! She looks just like her proud big sister Abigale did when she was born except for her wavy blond hair! Waiting for Abigale to come to see her new sister!FIRST LOOK!So excited!

Look at all the blond hair! I can't wait for the cute bows!!!

Well as from my earlier post you read that I went to the hospital and was sent home...well I went to the hospital again right after writing that because I was having contractions every three minutes. We got everything checked and I had dilated to three cm and they sent me home AGAIN!!! They gave me some pain killers and sleeping pills and told me to go get rest and if when I woke up I still thought I was in labor to come back! HOW CRAZY! I went home, was upset...took my pills and only slept for an hour! We went back to the hospital at 6:30 pm and the doctor checked and said I was 5 1/2 cm and they FINALLY admitted me! After I got my epidural my contractions completely stopped! Good thing they had already broken my water cause I was sure they would have sent me home yet again. Finally after having much pitocin, around 10:45 I felt like I needed to push. After five sets of contractions and about ten minutes later my little Lyla was here! She is so sweet! We came home this morning at 10:00. Thank you to all that have wished us well and those who have come to see us! Both Lyla and I are doing great! I am so glad that she is here!!!

To the Hospital...

...and home again! We went to the hospital last night at 8:30 after having contractions for two hours at about every four to five minutes. When we got there everything was going great, contractions coming every four minutes and strong! Then after about an hour they had me get up and walk around to see if we could get them to come faster and stronger. To my dismay the contractions still were coming but they weren't dilating my cervix so after being at the hospital for three and a half hours my midwife sent me home and told me to rest up because more than likely I would be having this baby soon. So disappointing! I am home and still contracting...I just have to wait it out. I guess Lyla wants mommy to have more time to sit and think about how different everything will be once she finally comes out! We will continue to keep you posted!

New car for the new baby

Spencer and I are now owners of a MINI VAN!! We bought a Honda Odyssey EX-L with Navigation and DVD! It is so nice! We needed a bigger car to handle our growing family. Spencer is a little sad because he says that now that he has a van it means that he isn't young anymore! What a silly guy! Well, I also went to the doctor today for my 37 week check up...I am dilating and 60% effaced, so my doctor says that with my past history it could be any day now! We are so excited for our little Lyla Belle to join the family officially! We will keep you all posted!

JAKE

Happy Birthday to my little brother Jake! He is in Chile right now serving his mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. We are so proud of the things he is doing with his life. I think Jake was the hardest brother to say goodbye to when he left for his mission. He is the closest to me in many aspects. I love him very much! Happy 20th!

Family Pictures

We went and got our family photos taken today by Abbey Kyhl. We don't have them back yet but I am hoping that we got a good turn out. Our session was cut a little short due to the fact that Abigale was completely done having her picture taken and didn't want to cooperate anymore. OH WELL! Abbey said that she got some good shots, so I am hoping that she was telling the truth and not just trying to make me feel better. As soon as I get them I will get some posted!

You should check out her website www.abbeykyhl.com

BYU FAN

All dressed in her BYU get up. She found Spencer's BYU beanie and loved it!! It matches all of her other items for game day. I think it looks GREAT!

1st baby melt down

My poor Abby! She had her first real melt down concerning the baby today. We set the crib up and got everything all set with all the little baby clothes out and ready, and I had just thrown a new blanket over the side of the crib when Abby started to cry. She went over to the crib and said "baby get blankie." I told her that the baby doesn't get everything and that she has plenty of toys that she can play with, but all she wanted was the blanket for the baby and for mommy to hold her. It made me so sad, I don't want her to think that she is being replaced by Lyla. I think she just saw the crib and remembered that it used to be hers and she wanted to get in but Spence and I wouldn't let her and we told her that the crib was for baby Lyla and that she was a big girl now and she had her own big girl bed. Any ideas on how to deal with this?!

FLU SHOTS!!

Well today Spencer, Abby, and I went and got our flu shots. It is recommended that when you are going to have a newborn in the house that everyone that is around them on a regular basis should get a flu shot to protect the new baby from getting sick. We all went together as to make it less traumatic for Abigale. Well, she still didn't like it!! Mommy got hers first and then Daddy and then Abby. She screamed so loud...it kills me! It is like this little scream that just sounds like she is in sooo much pain. After her shot she got a sticker from the nurse and said thank you and then she said bye and pranced out of the room like nothing had happened. So she at least did better than she normally does, which is scream at everyone she sees until she is in the car and then she whines the whole way home! Well, since we all were so brave in getting our shots we went and got swirl ice cream cones as a treat! (Even though it was snowing outside!) Spence and I both feel like wimps because our arms hurt SOOO bad! I hope Abby doesn't feel like we do! I gave her Tylenol before we took her. Hopefully it helped. Anyways, now that I am 36 weeks along we are finally getting all the last preparations done for our little Lyla Belle. I just hope she decides to join us soon!

Costume Pictures

Here are some pictures of Abby after I did her makeup. We put on Mascara, eye shadow, blush, and lipgloss. She loved it!!Here is Abby getting candy at the ward trunk or treat. She really enjoyed going around and finding the people in costumes that had the candy to give out. Although, the "scary old man" really did upset her...so that person had to take off their mask before she would accept the candy from them!
After the trunk or treat we went back to Spencer's parents house and to my dismay this is what I saw...Abigale had gotten into her chocolate candy. I was quite shocked, it only took her like a minute to break out a reese's and eat the whole thing. Good thing we got a bib on her first.
Such a cutie! She was so tuckered out after all of the fun that she was out by eight! We had a great time on Halloween and hope that everyone else did as well.
As you might have seen in the pictures for Abby in her make up I am still very much pregnant! We are looking forward to this baby coming SOON!
