HESS CANCER FOUNDATION

Here we are before the race...such suckers! I really almost cried when I came up to the finish line to see my sweet Abigale waiting for me and cheering me on.
Here comes Spence...almost done!

Spencer and I competed in a duathlon today for the Hess Cancer Foundation. We did the short course which consisted of a two mile run followed by a ten mile bike followed by another two mile run. WOWZERS! Well we didn't die and I finished in 2:00:08.2 Spencer's bike wheel went flat around the four mile mark and had to walk to the five mile turn around and call my parents to come pick him up. He didn't get to finish the biking but he did run the last leg of the race and came in with a time of 2:04:28.0! I am so glad it's over! I know that we both could have done alot better but I am so proud that we actually did it "together."

Spencer's sister Shannon got home from her mission on Thursday and has her mission homecoming tomorrow. It is one of the few times that Spence and I will be able to go to a regular ward. We are looking forward to having the day off of work and enjoying the Sabbath. We are so glad to have her back home and Abigale just loves having her Aunt Shannon around to play in her kitchen with her!

I hope all is well with everyone! A Special SHOUT OUT to my sister NATALIE...HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

Sisters

I just had to post this photo of the girls together! Abby and Lyla are always happy and giggly when they are together!

Naps...

These first two pictures are from about two months ago...I snuck into the girls room and snapped these sweet shots of them peacefully sleeping in their beds. I just love how heaven like they look when they are sleeping...

This photo however is from just the other day...My sweet Lyla Belle is now six and a half months old and has mastered rolling over. She was supposed to be napping but Spencer and I discovered this after listening to grunting on the baby monitor we couldn't stop laughing and brought her out to play!!

6 Month Check Up

Lyla went to her six month check up yesterday and here are her new stats;

Weight- 13.6--7%
Height- 25--23%
Head Circ- 44.2--90%

I cannot believe that she is already six months old! She is such a wiggle wart! She is already turning over from front to back and vice-versa as well as scooting around all over the place! I guess she is just trying to catch her big sister! She didn't even cry when she got her shots and the nurse was quite surprised! I am so proud to be a mother to my two little sweethearts!

Sweet Girl

My little Abigale made me a bouquet of cookie flowers today in nursery! Of course one came with a little bite out of it when I got them!! She is so silly!
This is a cute little chart that has some activities that we could do together just Mom and Daughter...

MOTHER

I thought I would send a shout out to my MOM. I LOVE YOU! We appreciate all that you do for us!! The time flies by but your caring never changes. You always have the time to talk and listen. I will never be able to repay you for the things that you have done for me or my family but I hope that by being a good mother myself will suffice. I love you so much mom!

4 years

Spencer and I celebrated our 4 year anniversary on May 6th. Abigale helped pick out these flowers for me. I really like the way they look. The yellow ones are called Spiders, and I think the other flowers are a hybrid of tulips and roses. They were way pretty and smelled awesome.
Spencer and I went to our usual location, Johnson Mill Bed and Breakfast, the Wednesday before our anniversary to celebrate. I love that hotel and especially love the breakfast...German pancakes with apricot topping and whip cream with almonds. YUM! Spencer made me this photo book from mypublisher.com and it is really great. It was an great anniversary! I got Spencer a much deserved new down pillow. He said he hasn't slept so good in a long time!! I am glad he liked it! Time has just flown by...I can't believe that we have an almost 2 1/2 year old and an almost 6 month old!! I love being a mother and a wife! We are just loving living life together in our family!!

New Do...

So Abby has a little more hair and I thought I would try something new and see if I could possibly get her to look more girlie. What do you think??

ZOO

My mom and dad came to Utah on Saturday and we took a trip to the zoo. It was mom & me day at the zoo and we had a great time. There was arts & crafts...see Abigale's headband below. Lyla was such a happy girl!! It was such a nice day outside. It was a little windy but in the sun it was just great! Overall it was a wonderful day!
Here is Abigale and I posing with a giraffe. Lots of the animals were laying around and enjoying the weather. What was super nice about the mom & me day at the zoo was that not only were there arts and crafts for the kiddos to do but we also got free ice cream bars and the moms got free MASSAGES! It was a really great day and we were so grateful that Grammy and Papa could enjoy the it with us!!
